The Menzies Research Centre’s Nick Cater says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s push to legislate a 43 per cent emissions reduction target by 2030 seems to be “a bit of a statement”.
“He wants this legislated why? You don’t need to legislate it for it to have effect,” he told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.
