Footage of this American grandfather has gone viral on social media, with the sporting world stunned by his remarkable feat.

Michael Kish, take a bow.

The 70-year-old American has stunned the sporting world by completing a 100m dash in less than 14 seconds, with footage of his impressive feat going viral on social media this week.

Born in 1952, Kish proved that age is just a number by finishing the event in 13.47 seconds at the Penn Relays on Thursday.

The video has registered more than 1 million views since it was uploaded to Twitter on Friday morning.

Philadelphia’s Don Warren placed second with a time of 14.35, while Joachim Acolatse finished third with a more than respectable 15.86.

Kish, who is a grandfather, represents the Shore Athletic Club.

The all-time 100m record for men aged 70 or over is held by America’s Bobby Whilden, who completed the dash in 12.77 seconds during the 2005 Senior Olympics.

Not to be outdone, Poland’s Stanisław Kowalski holds the 100m record for men aged over 105, running the distance in 34.50 seconds in 1910.
