Cost of living pressures the ‘number one topic of conversation’: Frydenberg


Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says the cost of living in Australia has been affected by the global conflict occurring in Ukraine.
  
Mr Frydenberg told National Press Club disruptions in global commodity markets and supply chains have driven up the prices of oil, wheat and shipping. 

“The number one topic of conversation around the kitchen tables of Australia right now is cost of living,” he said. 

“The budget I handed down last night responds directly to these pressures in a temporary, in a targeted and in a responsible way.”
