A Sydney family says they are living in fear after their house was firebombed by a stranger.

CCTV footage shows the moment masked man walked up to the home on Phillip St at Panania, in Sydney’s south west, on Friday evening.

Moments later the mystery man doused the front window in petrol and hurled a firebomb inside.

The owners of the house have claimed they have no enemies and have no idea why someone would want to burn down their house.

This incident is the second attack on the family’s home in nine months.

A brick was thrown through a front window nine months ago, with police investigating to see if the two events are linked
