N’UEST bid their fans goodbye with a special album, Red Velvet greeted their fans with great artistry yet again, Jay Park turned a new leaf with his single and a lot more! GANADARA – JAY PARK ft. IU
GANADARA is Jay Park’s first song after stepping down as the CEO of HIGHR MUSIC. The song is a smooth romantic R&B number featuring IU. The music video is unconventional as it captures a story happening backstage, and the behind-the-scenes preparations for a music video. The song was an instant hit for its catchy melody and quirky music video.

 

TOMBOY – (G)I-DLE
(G)I-DLE’s Tomboy employs punk rock elements and brings out the badass energy in the track. The group breezes their way through the music video casting a rebellious and no-damn-given attitude. It is quite different from the group’s previous releases, making it a good example of G(I)-DLE’s versatility.

 

WHO – MOONBIN & SANHA (ASTRO)
ASTRO’s Moonbin & Sanha’s newest musical offering channels a gothic vibe. ‘Who’ is a song about getting entrapped in a spell-binding charm. The gothic elements add in to the mysterious and dangerous vibe in the music video. The bass-electro beats punctuate the sultriness in the song.

 

VOYAGER – KIHYUN (MONSTA X)
KIHYUN’s solo debut track Voyager is a perfect track for a road trip. The MONSTA X member sings the songs with ease. The semi-rock elements enliven the atmosphere and the need to actualize a dream. He sings – “Feeling like a voyager, feel so free. This relaxed feeling in my busy life. The thrill I’ve forgotten, I can feel it. The paradise I dreamed of, so beautiful.” As the song unravels the honest feelings Kihyun has felt in his journey to the unknown, fantasy world, listeners will be able to immerse themselves completely into his deep emotions. The music video for vividly demonstrates his dream of escaping one’s mundane daily routine.

 

TOO BAD – WEi
‘Too Bad’ by WEi brings back the memories of the boybands in 2000s. The song is bright and funky, just like the group’s concept. The energy in the song is addicting.

 

OFF-LINE – RAD MUSEUM ft. DEAN, LEE HI
‘Off-line’ is a track for those who want to leave this materialistic and technology aided world. Rad Museum catches the feeling aptly in his lyrics. The music chosen is also perfect, for the hook is catchy and the attempt to make humour out of one’s difficult situation is also found in the track.

 

FEEL MY RHYTHM – RED VELVET
Red Velvet’s music release was undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated music releases of March 2022. The quintet released a music video akin to the fantasy and aesthetics the group is known for. ‘Feel My Rhythm’ is a pop dance track. The music video is replete with nods to vintage art styles and paintings.

 

DIAMONDS – SURAN FEAT. NCT TAEYONG
SURAN and NCT’s Taeyong is a collaboration that we didn’t know we needed until we got it. Suran’s new song ‘Diamonds’ is a smooth synth based track. Suran’s nasal vocals are captivating, and add in Taeyong’s rap and what you get is one catchy number. SURAN’s unique artistic vision and a great match with NCT’s TAEYONG’s charming vocal, ‘Diamonds’ is her pledge to fans and listeners to always be there for them as an artist and singer.

 

GLITCH MODE – NCT DREAM
Almost a year later, NCT Dream is back with a new era of music. ‘Glitch Mode’ is a package of vibrant colours, funky energy and the crazy lyrics that the group is known for. The song pairs up hip hop and rap smoothly presenting a groovy number.

 

ADRENALINE – CRAVITY
The song blends four genres of funk, future house, trap, and moombahton; creating a fresh sound of nine members who are longing for freedom. This track compares one’s hopeful existence, the central theme of this album, to “adrenaline” and tells a story of “being addicted to you.” Furthermore, the music video portrays the free spirit of the members who have found hope in despair. This is showcased through a festival scene, where the boys can finally be free from the oppression of school and uniform. A blast of excitement, disordered dreams, and reality that the boys face during their growth is weaved together as a unique visual under the keyword “Adrenaline.”
