Megyn Kelly: Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case ‘is important’

Sky News Australia contributor Megyn Kelly says there has been very little evidence of Johnny Depp harming Amber Heard while there's been "a ton of evidence" of her harming him.

Actor Johnny Depp is suing his former wife Amber Heard for defamation over a 2018 op-ed published in The Washington Post.

Mr Depp is suing Ms Heard for $USD50 million and alleges the piece damaged his acting career and reputation.

The Washington Post is not a defendant.

Ms Kelly said Mr Depp will not win his legal claim but will win the PR campaign.

"He's not going to win a defamation case against her," Ms Kelly said.

"But he, as a PR matter, has shown the world that she was hitting him regularly.

"As a PR matter he's made his point – abuse can go both ways and so it's important to know exactly what she did."
