‘No room’: Westmead Hospital patients to be treated outside


Sky News Reporter Kenny Heatley says nurses at Westmead Hospital are warning that new patients will be treated outside with “no room” inside the hospital. 

Night shift workers at Westmead and Blacktown hospitals will walk off the job at the end of their shift as they deal with chronic understaffing and overcrowding of emergency departments.

“They’re saying they’re having to treat patients who have been in serious car accidents and heart attacks in waiting rooms and in corridors,” he said.
