NSW residents warned to brace for more severe flooding

Severe flooding in NSW could continue today as Greater Sydney faces up to 200 millimetres of heavy rain.

Flood levels in Camden peaked half a metre higher than the floods in April – making it the worst flooding in more than three decades.

The Sydney, Illawarra and Blue Mountains regions will be hit hardest as NSW SES issued several more flood evacuation orders for residents overnight.

Anyone living the following areas is being instructed to leave now: Parts of Emu Heights North, Wallacia Caravan Park, Yarramundi, Penrith Peach Tree Creek South, parts of Lower Portland, South Maroota West, Agnes Banks Lowlands North and parts of Pitt Town.
