Sirens Blare in Haifa on Holocaust Remembrance Day

Israelis paused for two minutes of silence as sirens sounded in Haifa for Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom HaShoah, on April 28. Footage taken by Lekë Rezniqi shows traffic stopped with the drivers standing outside their vehicles on Khorev Street in Haifa. Pedestrians are also seen silently standing still along the road while the siren blares. Local media said ceremonies would be held in schools, public institutions, and army bases on Thursday. The annual March of the Living would resume after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. Credit: Lekë Rezniqi via Storyful
