UK govt right to scrap ‘liberal’ BBC’s license fee

The UK government announced the BBC licence fee would be removed in 2027 and the broadcaster would face a funding freeze.

Mr Robinson said the BBC had a “liberal, metropolitan, elite standpoint” and often talked down to viewers.

“I am glad that this government has now said they are going to freeze the BBC’s license fee for the next couple of years and then look to ending the licence fee in 2027 when the remiss is up,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
