The NSW and Victorian governments are set to announce the overhaul of early childhood education in a joint decade-long commitment today.
The announcement will include the introduction of a universal pre-schooling year for four-year-old children and the construction of low-fee childcare centres.
In a joint statement of intent set to be delivered today – both Premiers will hail the move as the greatest transformation of early childhood education in a generation.
