‘We can all move on’: Emily Seebohm on FINA transgender ban


Olympic Swimmer Emily Seebohm says “we can all move on” following FINA’s historic transgender ban for elite swimmers. 

The peak body for swimming FINA made a historic decision to effectively ban most transgender women from participating in female competitions. 

Ms Seebohm said she is supportive of the open category being suggested into the swimming completion. 

“I’m happy that there’s finally been a decision made,” she told Sky News Australia. 

“We can all move on – like, we can all just go back to the sport that we love and enjoying it … it’s going to be a fair level playing field.”
